Keep stories alive from generations past by sharing them with young, enthusiastic minds

Cogir’s Senior Stories bridges the gap between seniors and students while bringing the priceless gift of connection from home to the community. Our program is an intergenerational writing project that leverages learning through the priceless connection between our senior living community residents and students across the nation.

Through this partnership, originally born between Cogir and Phoenix Country Day School, children learn seniors’ stories and find engaging ways to tell them to others while honing valuable life skills such as listening, empathy and appreciation of the endless benefits of human connection. This program inspires both age groups to socialize, bond and learn immeasurable life lessons from a different generation.

We encourage participants to share their own stories on social media with the hashtag #SeniorStories.
