This place is absolutely first rate. The people at Cogir were wonderful… Friendly, patient, and professional. My mother left her home of 40 years to go to Cogir, she was scared and tired and very upset. That all disappeared the first day! The staff is great, the food is great, the other residents are great. The apartments were clean, sharp and stylish. the whole facility is excellent. Before I brought my mother there I pulled a number of residents aside and asked them how they liked it. Every response was incredibly positive. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

I am recent (3 weeks ago) resident at Cogirs of South Bay. I had moved from another senior living community. The atmosphere feels similar to a resort hotel having a very helpful staff, a swimming pool, and an exercise room with modern equipment. There is a bus to transport residents for appointments, or for errands and shopping trips. This service is available by requesting the concierge to schedule ahead of time. My apartment is comfortable and fits all my furniture well. The kitchen is fully equipped with side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher, electric range and oven, and microwave oven. The bedroom accommodates my bed, a desk and a dresser. I especially like the security of the 24-hour concierge for safety of residents returning late in the evening. The friendliness of the staff starts from the top as demonstrated by the Executive Director. I feel comfortable and welcomed here. The menu and food selection are excellent.
