I can't say enough wonderful things about the facility and the STAFF! They were so kind and caring to my folks who were in their 90's. It was truly the best facility we experienced in the three they lived at. We were made to feel like part of the Cedar Village family right from the start. When my parents were on Hospice, near the end of their lives, the med staff was critical, and did a phenomenal job of working with the Hospice team. They've recently gone through a beautiful remodel, and it really shows - everything feels fresh, comfortable, and welcoming. During my visit, several residents mentioned how great the food is, and you can tell everyone genuinely enjoys living there. One of the things that stood out most to me is the longevity of their staff - many have been with Cedar Village for years, which says a lot about the care and consistency they provide. He needed immediate placement in an assisted living facility after extended rehab care and hospitalization. The management staff bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. They are personable, very empathic, helpful and supportive. My family member has been there 3 months now, and the management staff is still very responsive to my emails, texts and questions. Since I live 1,600 miles away, it is important to have people I can be in touch with concerning my family member's care, health and wellbeing. They have gone above and beyond my expectations. The Director even helped my family member get some pictures hung when our handiman didn't show up. My family member can be a bit of a 'grump', but he constantly comments how nice the staff is to him. When I visited, they really seemed to care about him and were very kind and friendly. With only 50+ rooms, I believe this allows the staff to know everyone and they do feel a connection with the residents. The facility is clean, despite the current remodeling. I was impressed. I would highly recommend Cedar Village facility, their staff, and management team.
