What levels of care do you offer?
Cogir of Alexandria Fillmore offers Independent Living and Assisted Living lifestyle choices for modern seniors.
What kind of training do your care team members receive?
Our Care Partners are certified caregivers. They are required to complete the approved training program as mandated by Virginia’s governing health office. Cogir of Alexandria Fillmore also provides ongoing training monthly and as needed.
What assistance services do you offer?
We can assist residents with daily living activities such as showering, dressing, grooming and dining. Each resident will receive a personalized service plan that details their care and is regularly updated to meet evolving needs. For example, some of our residents require general oversight and reminders, while others need various levels of care and assistance.
Does our community support hearing impaired residents?
For prospects or residents who are hearing impaired, we are committed to offering appropriate accommodations to make their experience seamless and successful. These may include providing a translator during tours, utilizing virtual interpreter services, message boards, or other interventions that will help ensure that they feel welcomed, understood, and supported in our community.
Our priority is always to uphold the dignity of those we serve and to make sure that everyone, regardless of ability, has full access to the care and comfort they deserve.
What indoor activities do you offer?
We offer activity programs, arts and crafts, book clubs, card playing, exercise classes, exercise programs, game nights, intergenerational programs, lectures and discussions, meditation, movie nights, resident-run activities, physical fitness program, musical instruments, TV (cable/satellite), wellness programs, and stories.
What outdoor activities do you offer?
You can enjoy events and outings, gardening, park visits, outdoor group activities, volunteer opportunities, day trips, and accompanied walks.
What services are included in the monthly rates?
Your monthly rent includes basic cable, dinner, breakfast, housekeeping, internet/WiFi, linen service, utilities, and lunch.
What features do your rooms have?
Our apartments include air conditioning, individual climate control, a microwave, private kitchenette, refrigerator, safety-assist bathroom, walk-in closet, and walk-in shower.
What security features do you offer?
We require staff background checks.
What is your guest/visitor policy?
We allow overnight guests, on-site parking, and guests at mealtimes.
