Cogir at Vallejo Hills is a great active senior community! Our Mom moved in at the end of last year. She has a cousin there and they hang out all the time. It was a great decision to move there because I haven’t seen her this happy in years. I have to say that Leslie Waters Zarco is sure a bright light for all who meet her and have a chance to do excursions with her. She also busses people to the stores, appointments and whatever else is needed. She is such a kindhearted lady and perfect for the job she has. She brightens your day and makes life fun! She’s truly an asset to Cogir!

Them team at Cogir Vallejo Hills have been wonderful. My Mom has relocated to Cogir due to construction work being done on her home. She was resistant at first but once she settled in she was happy. Colette was kind and informative when exploring our options. Susan, Liliana and Jessica have been gracious, friendly and so helpful during her transition. Came to Cogir today to do 3D scanning for virtual tours and was blown away by how delightful this place was. It smelled nice and was clean. The employees that I interacted with were insanely friendly, nice and helpful. The units were spacious and updated. The grounds were well kept. They had tons of activities and trips. To me the facility was coming and serene and seemed like a great place to live retired life.

My parents are moving in to Cogir of Vallejo Hills next week. I went there to drop off some heavy items for them before they arrive. I was pulling up to the front entrance and a car pulled up behind me. A woman got out of the car and immediately approached me to ask if i needed any help. Her name is Leslie and she was absolutely an angel! She is Cogir’s driver. She drives the residents to appts, etc.. She was so incredibly helpful and friendly and so kind to me! She went out of her way to help me and I was so grateful!! The person at the front desk was also so friendly and welcoming and helpful. And the General Manager is wonderful too! She drove 45 minutes to see my parents recently before they move in. I feel so confident this will be a wonderful experience for them!

Richard Breitkreutz brings over 20 years of hospitality leadership and a passion for creating exceptional experiences for residents, families, and team members. A certified sommelier, he began his career in New York City, working with celebrated leaders including Danny Meyer, Tom Colicchio, Floyd Cardoz, and Jean‑Georges Vongerichten. His work across fine dining, casual concepts, catering, and large events shaped his people‑first approach to service.
Since moving to the Bay Area in 2017, Richard has overseen multi‑unit operations nationwide—including hotels, casinos, and diverse hospitality venues—serving in roles such as Vice President, Director of Operations, and General Manager. A highlight of his career was winning the James Beard Award for Outstanding Service, reinforcing his belief that service is what we do, but hospitality is how we make people feel.
Richard leads with respect, support, and growth at the center of his philosophy. Senior living is a natural extension of that commitment, and he is honored to help ensure every resident, family member, and team member feels valued, cared for, and truly at home.
