My name is Bridgette Buchanan, and I am the Executive Director at Solista Everett by Cogir. I have been with this building for six years. I began my career here as the Office Manager and worked my way up to my current position, learning and growing along the way. I graduated from the oldest college in Montana State, Rocky Mountain College in 2018, with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. My family has always been in the senior industry, growing up, both parents worked in various senior care facilities, including my older sister. My mother worked hard to become Director of Nurses and my father worked in the maintenance department. I remember going to my mother’s buildings before and after school hanging out with all the seniors and just having a blast learning about everyone’s walks of life. I met one gentleman who used voice characters in older cartoons. In elementary school we lived near Long Beach, WA, during winter we would have extended power outages due to high winds. As a family we wouldn’t stay home, my parents would pack us up and take us to the Nursing Facility they worked at and ensure that every resident was taken care of. Helping seniors has always been a passion of mine. When the position opened at Solista Everett I applied right away and here I am six years later helping senior age in place.
