Jodie Peterson went above and beyond for my mother recently. My mother was traveling and needed her passport sent to her overnight so that she was able to return home to The Lofts. Jodie spent quite a lot of time getting the passport sent and waiting at UPS to confirm it was on it’s way to my mom. Can’t thank her enough for helping us out. Her dedication is commendable.

I have been living in the Lofts for one year now. I have no regrets about moving here. The building and grounds are well maintained. Prior to the pandemic, I enjoyed the many and varied activities including the outings, games, movies, lectures, entertainment, meals, and social gatherings. The residents and staff are very friendly and everyone looks out for others. The building is safe and pet-friendly. The hallways are filled with wonderful mementos of the residents which provide connectedness. I would be amiss not to mention how well the staff has pulled together during this health crisis. They continue to find ways to help residents stay connected, have their needs met, and provide recreational activities that are “safe” from spreading the virus. They also provide information and safeguards to the people living here. Also, the location is ideal. There are numerous parks nearby, along with easy access to shopping, stores, restaurants, bars, and so much more. I even walk to my dentist’s office. The Transit Center at the Vancouver Mall is close by, and a bus stop to downtown is 2 blocks away.

With over eight years of dedicated leadership at The Lofts by Cogir Senior Living, Jodie Peterson brings a deep sense of purpose and compassion to her role as Executive Director. A graduate of Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, Jodie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Healthcare Management—a combination that perfectly aligns with her commitment to operational excellence and resident-centered care.
Jodie’s passion for senior living began early in life, inspired by the special bond she shared with her grandmother, who lived with her family for many years. That personal connection has shaped her career and fuels her mission to create a warm, supportive community where every resident feels valued and at home.
Outside of work, Jodie enjoys life with her husband, their two children, and their two spirited miniature Australian Labradoodles. Her leadership style is rooted in professionalism, empathy, and a deep respect for the seniors and families she serves each day.
