
Cogir Senior Living Appointed Manager for Seven Community Portfolio in North Carolina
Scottsdale, AZ. — Cogir Senior Living, a senior housing owner, developer and operator, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as manager of a seven-community portfolio of assisted living and memory care facilities in North Carolina. The seven communities are located in the Charlotte, Raleigh and Winston-Salem MSAs and are owned by Griffin – American Healthcare REIT III, a publicly registered real estate investment trust managed by American Healthcare Investors, one of the largest healthcare real estate-focused investment management firms in the world. The portfolio consists of Cadence at Wake Forest, Cadence North Raleigh, Cadence Garner, Cadence at Clemmons, Cadence Mooresville, Cadence Huntersville and Cadence Senior Living at Mint Hill and totals 402 units.
In conjunction with this management assignment, Cogir is excited to announce that Heather Thomas has joined Cogir as Vice President of Operations – North Carolina. Heather has nearly two decades of experience in senior housing and assisted living administration. Starting out as a caregiver in high school, Heather has served senior living in many capacities including stints at Senior Lifestyle Corporation, Stonecrest Senior Living, and PointClickCare. While developing administrator certification/licensure courses in multiple states, she served as the Chair of the Exam Committee for the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and she remains an active committee member of the National Continuing Education Review Service for the NAB. Heather resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
