Hear from our Executive Director
I am an Arizona Native, and I have lived in Peoria, Arizona my entire life. All of my family members live in Peoria between 91st avenue and 83rd avenue.
I graduated from Peoria High School where I met my husband, and we have been together since our Junior year in high school. We have been together for 31 years now and have 2 beautiful boys. My oldest Son is an RN Case Manager at Honor Health and my youngest Son is living his dreams to become a famous Chef one day as he is head Chef at his current location.
My first job was in Senior Living at 16 where I started in a CCRC as the front desk receptionist in the Care Center.
As I continued to grow, I was an HR associate who mainly focused on Employee benefits and Employee appreciation. I set up a fund to help staff when they were in desperate need of financial assistance, which till this day, the fund continues to exist for staff working on that Campus.
I was the Office Manager for the entire CCRC and then at 20 years old, I obtained my Assisted Living Manager’s license. During that time, we were one of the 1st Communities to have the Medicaid program in Assisted living. it was exciting to know we were the test pilot for such an important project for the State of Arizona. I was able to help so many people that were in need of medical care. That is still one of my proudest moments to this day!I have continued to stay in the local area and support our local Chamber of Commerce for the City of Peoria, I have done lots of volunteer work for the elderly and children during the Holidays, as there are 95 members of our Family that assist during the holidays by feeding and collecting items for the cold days of winter for those people /children that are homeless living on the streets of Phoenix. This is something my family is very passionate about, due to living here our entire lives and seeing how much downtown Phoenix has changed.
During my downtime, I enjoy gardening and painting ceramic pots. I belong to 2 gardening clubs and enjoy spending time with others that have the same passion I do for plants.
While gardening is a passion of mine, being the ED of a Memory Care Community is the ultimate passion for me. Anyone that knows me or has worked with me, knows how much I care about my Residents, Staff and Families. You are treated like part of the Family as soon as you walk through that door. You are greeted with love and respect; the Team will always make you feel welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and please let me know if you have any questions.
